out
Close a logged position and see the arithmetic.
Syntax
out <symbol> <price> Angle brackets mark a required value, square brackets an optional one. This one is typed as a plain message in #trading-floor — there is no leading slash and Discord will not autocomplete it.
What it is for
Closes whatever you logged with `in` and prints the difference between your average entry and the exit price you type. Both numbers are yours — TickerRoom does not execute, verify or price anything, and a logged trade is a note to yourself, not a record of a filled order.
Parameters
| Name | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| symbol | Yes | The ticker you are closing. Any US-listed symbol |
| price | Yes | The price you exited at. A number |
What comes back
A summary card with the ticker, your average entry, your exit and the percentage between them.
