TickerRoom documentation
How the scanners work, what every command does, and how to read what lands in the channels.
- Scanner guide What each of the 18 alert channels fires on, with a real alert from each.
- Alert intelligence The cards the bot posts alongside the alerts, Agentic Calls, and how to read them.
- Command reference All 63 commands, with syntax, parameters and what comes back.
- Reading an alert Every abbreviation, reason tag and score band, explained once.
- After an alert The checks to run on an alerted ticker, each with the command that answers it.
- Guides The market mechanics behind the alerts — halts, the Reg SHO list, zero borrow — explained.
If you are new
- Watch one channel, not eighteen Start in #all-in-one-scanner. Everything lands there in the order it happened, so you learn the shape of a normal session before you start filtering.
- Learn two fields first RV tells you whether the volume is unusual for that ticker. FT tells you how big the float is. Together they turn a percentage move into something you can judge.
- Follow an alert with a command An alert says something happened. Run /info on the ticker for the full picture, then the specific command for whatever the alert flagged.
- Then narrow it down Once you know which alerts you act on, /custom-scanner sends only those to a private channel on your own thresholds.
What this covers
Coverage is US-listed equities and their options. Commands run in the server channels; the scanners run through extended hours on weekdays, and the news, filings, insider and calendar feeds can fire outside regular sessions when something is published.
Nothing in this documentation is financial advice, and no alert or score is a recommendation to trade. Scores describe a setup, never an outcome.
